Acid Attack Victim Ms Saa is Changing the Concept of Fashion

The concept of fashion modelling is changing rapidly in India. Currently, one of the leading fashion apparel brand Viva N Diva engaged Ms Laxmi Saa, an Indian acid attack survivor, as their prime fashion model.
After facing the acid attack at the age of 15, Ms Saa has become one of the most outspoken person against the unregulated sale of acid in India and also argues in favor of the harshest punishment for the acid attack perpetrators. The co-founder of the brand Rupesh Jhawar told BBC "To my eyes that are used to seeing fashion models with flawless skins dolled up in front of the cameras everyday, this view was both disturbing and inspiring.
"For a moment I had seen beauty in a very different way and we wanted to
capture it - remove any speck of being a victim from those eyes and give them a stage, an employment, a platform, a medium to flaunt it
with style."
